Zeolites are a new use of the ancient mineral.
The name of the mineral zeolite comes from two Greek words: zeo - boil and lithos - stone. It is explained by the fact that with rapid and strong heating, the mineral swells with the formation of bubble glass, as if it boils.
These stones have unique sorption properties that effectively reduce the content of calcium salts in the water, while maintaining its fresh taste. They were distinguished from other cleaners by their inexpensive cost.
This discovery was the impetus for a more careful study of the properties of minerals.
